MIX HELP

I just talked to some computer builders. I live in the silicion valley, they say that windows XP auto enables DMA mode on all drives. The only OS I have on any computer is Windows XP.

Well that must be it. I'll try a 7200 HDD. Its a slave to the C drive. I think that should do the trick. If this doesn't sound right. Please let me know.

OK. the specs on one of my system is asus 3pbf MB. So DMA should be there in the device manager. But on both systems I have run XP and It's not showing up. My power system is Asus P4T522-C 1GB RDRAM...

Help on setting DMA

My OS is XP. I cannot find this: In the IDE/ATA Controller Properties dialog,
click the Advanced Settings tab
I find the controller and the drives just no way to check or uncheck DMA

I must be crazy but there is no advance setting tab in the IDE/ATA cotroller properties. Or under the the rest of the drives. The only advance setting i can find is to uninstall the driver. Should...

5400 follow up

It imports files fine but will barely let me record another track without error cpu shortage. Thats why I thinking that it must be the HDD

I was talking to some tech guys and they said there is a 50% chance that the MB drivers will be correpted or I will see errors the big blue screen, because the MB will get confused on which MB it is...

I have question. I overclocked my ASUS 3pbf motherboard. It was 800 and now it is 896. and the pci speed is at 37.43. will my digi card burn up?
