I just talked to some computer builders. I live in the silicion valley, they say that windows XP auto enables DMA mode on all drives. The only OS I have on any computer is Windows XP.

Well that must be it. I'll try a 7200 HDD. Its a slave to the C drive. I think that should do the trick. If this doesn't sound right. Please let me know.

OK. the specs on one of my system is asus 3pbf MB. So DMA should be there in the device manager. But on both systems I have run XP and It's not showing up. My power system is Asus P4T522-C 1GB RDRAM...

I must be crazy but there is no advance setting tab in the IDE/ATA cotroller properties. Or under the the rest of the drives. The only advance setting i can find is to uninstall the driver. Should...

I was talking to some tech guys and they said there is a 50% chance that the MB drivers will be correpted or I will see errors the big blue screen, because the MB will get confused on which MB it is...
