dont know anybody with an mbox2pro :(. ive reinstalled the drivers before and after trying the 002. never helped. what if it is a problem with the mbox2? how long does digidesign warranty hardware?...

identical! down to the same cable. all i did was use digidriver to install the 002 drivers. then boated PT. and bam everything wrks flawless. now what? im using a friends 002 rack in the meantime but...

UPDATE...
so PT works just fine if i use my friends digi002 mixer. but instant playback errors with my MB2P. what gives? i think that kinda rules out my firewire card doesnt it?...

both my hard drives are sata2 and seem to be functioning flawlessly. i can try pluging the audio drive back in but i think its pointless. im just trying to get PT to play anything. after reinstalling...

update...

i updated my bios. and it improved my system substantially. dpc lat. checker now tops off at 28 or so compared to 1148 before.

now after reinstalling digidrivers. i can now play audio...

thx. just ran it. it peaked out about every 7-8 seconds around 1000. is that suitable? im not sure i wanna mess with a bios update but i just reformatted this machine. now would be the time to try it...

i have second hard drive (same as system drive) for audio. i took it out to troubleshoot.
my firewire card is a siig 3-port. i thought thats what digidesign...
