I´ve experienced the same - even if I work on a session for a while with exactly the same plugs and everything I start getting -9073 after a while.. I actually thought it might be a processor heat...

as far as I experienced you can avoid those -9173 with just not using the critical plugins.. at least worked for me

I heard rumours that 12.4 was pretty stable without -9173 on osx 10.9.5....?
