Can PT8 HD read and sync from an audio track that has LTC recorded on it?

I've searched through the forum with similar topics, but can't find a definitive answer. Please advise.

Had this problem with one of our G5s with HD3 PCI-X cards. For months, couldn't figure out what it was. A restart would usually temporary solve the issue. Finally got around to install fresh copy...

Still happening in 8.01 with DSP cache turned off and purged. Anybody remember seeing this sort of behavior in 7.3? Might have to migrate backwards...
