OK, I think I've sorted this out further. The 11R loses connection if I go to a browser (and maybe Mac Mail) and check email. It seems to do o.k. if I open a program such as text edit.

Basically I lose connection to the 11R. I think caused by simply being idle. I'm asked if I want to Save or Quit the PT session. Quit, turn off and back on the 11R when PT says it can't see any...

I've actually had better luck powering the 11R after the computer is started...then opening PT. Not sure if this is recommended or not.

YES.....and it loses connection while sitting idle.
NO.....i don't allow the computer to go to sleep. Turned off in prefs.

Lots of PT crashes in 8.04 in general.

8.03 Locks Up Occasionally

Mainly if I do something while it's playing. Sometimes (maybe once every couple of hours) get the "can't stop playing, spinning ball, nothing to do but force quit" situation. Fairly big session...

This is one I've experienced on every PT system I've ever used (LE,HD,7.x,8.x).

Edit a loop exactly to the grid. If it's too short, capture the remainder and consolidate to create a new region...
