The limitation is actually not with Pro Tools directly. You see, hfs+ and fat32 are respective file format of each platform. They are not native on the other. There are workarounds, like using...

with the last few versions of the BFD plugin, you now have a BFD ALL Rtas plugin that you can use instead of Rewire (Requires PT6.7 for the multi-out plugin...
