Re: Waves Platnium PLease Help

I am pretty sure you can install Native on the TDM system. You will only be able to use them in
RTAS mode. As far as TDM on LE, why spend the extra money?

The plugins sound the same. In fact,...

Re: what midi interface?

I have a Midi I/O. There are a few bugs with using Machine Control, but it is real solid. It also utilizes Digi's new Midi Time stamping. It gives a much better lockup with midi devices.

Re: Still 131 GiG but in a G4 this time

Digidesign recommends that you do not use drives larger than 80 gigs. You might want to partition it into (3) 60 gig drives.

Re: I can\'t get a good guitar sound

You should start with a different amp. I am not a big fan of crates for recording. A dual rectifier, Saldano and(or)JCM 800 record nice. Also, make sure you double or triple track your gtr tracks....

Re: which one? digi002 or HD1+96 i/o

I went from a 001 to an HD system and I would never go back to an LE system. Increased track count and the ability to expand later on ensures that I can use my system for a lot longer. Buy the HD...

Re: Soundelux mics-anybody used these mics?

Soundelux makes some great mics. You might want to check out a Lawson Mic. I have a Lawson L251, it is a replica of a ELAM 251. I cannot say enough good things about it. Pro Audio Review just did...

Re: question on condenser mics: whats your pick?

Yeah, I would agree. Bang for the dollar, you won't beat the rode NT1000. I bought them as a extra set of condensers. They were much better than I expected.

Re: Removing hiss from low quality recording...

Just buy what you need for now and add on later. Also, the native stuff works as well as the TDM versions. That will save you a lot of dough.

Re: Removing hiss from low quality recording...

Waves Restoration Bundle is Great!!! Their denoiser can take a noise print of the hiss and has an adjustable treshold. It works great. I use it all the time. I think you can download a trial...

Re: A Waves Question

Here are somethings to try with the S1:

1. Try just using it on just 1 or 2 instruments to get them to set beyond the mix.

2. Try using it on a effect return to make a reverb sound like a...
