I don't know much about analyzing your crash log, but be aware that the Mbox 2 doesn't support hot plugging in Snow Leopard (and maybe Leopard too, not sure). Plugging in or unplugging your Mbox...

A lot of people get kernel panics when they hot plug (i.e. unplug while computer is running) an Mbox. Make sure you're only plugging or unplugging the interface when the computer is shut down.

Interesting that the 10.6.3 notes claim updated support for 3rd party USB input devices. Still hunting for someone with a quad imac and an mbox 2 to post their experience...

Tempted to try the update, since PT LE 8.0.3 is already completely inoperable on my i7 iMac. I'll probably resist sit on it for a day or two just to be sure. Any more reports out there?

I've had this issue as well.
Recording onto the system drive or an external drive? I've had this issue when recording to the system drive, you should always use an external drive.
Rebooting often...
