Re: OT: CD Architect 5.0 not playing back audio

OK, I fixed it. It's kind of a hollow victory because I'm still not sure exactly what the problem was, but at least it's working. I uninstalled and reinstalled the audio hardware and the default...

Re: OT: CD Architect 5.0 not playing back audio

Wavedriver is not installed. In fact, I can't remember why now, but I had to be careful not to install it or my 001 wouldn't work either. I really want to get CD Architect to play through my onboard...

OT: CD Architect 5.0 not playing back audio

I'm having a problem getting CD Architect 5.0 to playback audio files. The rest of the program functions normally, but when you try to playback audio the error message " An error occurred while...

OT - wiring a vocal booth

I'm in the process of building a vocal booth and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to run XLR and headphones cables into the booth. Ideally I'd like to have wall plates on the outside and...

Re: Grid and looped audio regions no longer match

Thanks Rail. I'm not sure I explained my problem very well, but that's good info all the same.

Re: Grid and looped audio regions no longer match

OK, nevermind I just figured it out. When I created the file, the main time setting was bars/beats and the sub was minutes/seconds. Somehow they got switched. I set the main to bars/beats again and...

Grid and looped audio regions no longer match

I use Grid Mode to make loops in PT. I set the BPM on the Transport window, match my audio region selection to the grid, then trim and duplicate. I've been doing this for years with no problems.

Re: FREE RTAS PLUGIN!!!

Will uninstalling the others demos after they expire be hard? I'd like to try this thing, but I don't want to get stuck with these demo plugs.

Re: wierd white noise glitches in audio

The Weed,

BINGO!!!!!! Somehow my buffer was at 8, not 2. Very strange, I don't remember ever changing it, or why I would have. Anyway, changed it back to 2 and everything's perfect again! Can't...

Re: BTD vs Export (Rail?)

Rail,

Files that have been bounced and then re-imported into a new PT session contain the white noise as part of the audio file. It is a perfect rectangle, about half a second long on the end of...

Re: BTD vs Export (Rail?)

Rail,

My original files have not been damaged, only the bounced stereo files contain the noise. It is always at the end of the song, and usually only lasts for a fraction of a second. That's why...

Re: wierd white noise glitches in audio

I've been having this same problem lately, but I'm not using SPDIF. For me, the white noise always occurs at the end of the track, and only after BTD. What worries me is that it has been happening...

Steve,

I've been having the exact same problem lately. The first time it happened, I thought maybe the CD I burned was no good. But, though it doesn't happen every time, it is getting more and...

Re: Good low price tube pre?

Bellari MP110, $169.00 at Music123.com. Possibly even cheaper on eBay. I've got two of them, they sound great for the price.

Re: How hard is it to get a small loan of about 6000?

Calvin,

Here's something else to consider:
So you get your $6000 loan and buy nicer gear that you are now stuck with for 2-4 years, you predict. In my experience buying equipment, upgrading it,...

Re: I really really ned help on this mix (updated)

Craiz,

That sounds a lot better, nice work. The only thing I'm not really sold on is the echo/reverb/whatever on the cuts at the end. But that's really just my personal preference, nothing to do...

Re: I really really really ned help on this mix

Craiz,

First of all, where's the bass line? The track may not need much, but it needs something to fill it out. Secondly, I agree about the reverb. The piano loop is pretty ambient to begin...

Re: Speakers constantly humm

You could try the EBTech Hum Eliminator. They're only about $60 and they do a great job at killing speaker noise. It uses balanced 1/4in TRS ins and outs and gets rid of a lot of electrical hum. ...

Re: 8-channel limiter? Or a better idea?

That's what I was thinking of. I was looking at the DigiMax 96K, which features a limiter on each channel, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted. It's strange, I did a ton of seaching on all the...

8-channel limiter? Or a better idea?

I often find myself using the Waves L1 plug-in on tracks to boost levels, and it does a great job. However, on a high track-count session, I may end up using lots of L1's. This takes away from my...
