Here's a new mix with different levels; bringing in the close mics more, adding compression, etc.
I think it's getting closer....I haven't addressed...

John the drummer recorded at Studio A a few months back. He then took his raw drum tracks to Studio B to have them mixed/mastered. That is mp3 1.

John the drummer also recorded my music at Studio...

They were done with basically the same mic placement, as the studio is run by one guy only. He does the mic placement, and as I understand it, basically mics everything the same way for all his...

Maybe I didn't explain it correctly; the drummer is the same, the studio where both examples were recorded the same, except two different projects. The pro recording is the drummer's CD, the other...

No, I didn't have access to those. I feel my mixing environment is fine, it's just that I don't have drum mixing experience.

I have one song where I cannot output the master. I usually output the master to stereo 1-2. I guess this has something to do with the I/O setup but I'm clueless.

I did a session for drums at another studio last week. We recorded 3-4 takes for each song. Where do I find the alternate takes when I open my sessions?

Just to update:

I purchased a Lacie external drive 1 terrabyte firewire with usb 3.0

I backed up all my sessions using the save copy in method and then printed all tracks.

I also reformatted...

You'll notice my tracks are:
Master fader
Click
Bass
Instrument 1 (midi piano)
Instrument 2 (also midi piano)

Only the bass comes up on the list....
