Re: Bus output without aux destination = delay compensation?

Oh got it, thanks for the clarifications.

Was not very familiar with many of the terms you're introducing there. I'm not working in any domains that deal with hardware effects, so I'll happily...

Re: Bus output without aux destination = delay compensation?

Thanks guys. Very interesting, so 63 samples of latency is introduced by Core Audio + the A/D converter, under the hood. Interesting that number matches exactly between my UAD Apollo and your RME.

Outputting an audio track to a bus...

Re: MIDI gets recorded early

Just read through this whole thread. Here's a summary for newcomers.

Re: Bug: "Trim clip to file boundaries" doesn't work?

Oops sorry, yes I'm also on 2023.12.1.

Just tested this further, and I see what's happening – it looks like this isn't supported within playlist editing. Only works on the main playlist.

I...

Bug: "Trim clip to file boundaries" doesn't work?

Does this work for anyone else? It should extend an audio clip to its full underlying content's length, but does nothing at all here.

Control + Command + T on macOS.

Edit menu > Trim Clip > To...

Re: Crossfade Pops on ARA-Melodyne'd Tracks

To answer the last question there, if I "Render" two crossfaded Melodyne'd clips (right-click > Melodyne > Render), the pop at the crossfade goes away. This is fortunate, because I can still keep the...

Re: Multiple MIDI input sources on one MIDI track?

Shoot, that is a bummer, but thanks for confirming. Perhaps someone knows of a third party workaround to achieve this sort of aggregate MIDI situation? Google is not yielding any results for me.

Does anyone know of a way to move a plug-in such as Kontakt or VEP to another track while maintaining the connection from all the MIDI tracks that were routed to that plug-in?

Re: Cut/Insert Time by timecode precisely & maintain Bars downbeats?

Re: Insert Time But Ignore Some Clips/Tracks?

I think the current best way to do this is to hide the tracks you want to protect just before the Cut/Insert Time operation, then unhide them.

Here's a quick method for that:

Create two memory...

Re: Pro Tools + Spaces (macOS Mission Control)

Thank you so much, that worked perfectly. I had no idea there was a context menu for that, and sure enough, Pro Tools had been set to "All Desktops".

Thanks!
