I use an Alesis AI-3 for the 8 digital channels and it works very well for my situation. I think they're around $350 - $400 bucks. You only need one if you have a need to record more than 8 channels...

Although it's capable of 18 inputs at once, we do 16 at once on most sessions. The first 8 channels of our console are wired to the 8 analog line ins on the 002 & the next 8 go through an Alesis AI-3...

So, I'm not crazy. Selecting dual outputs so you can mirror to spdif does work IF you haveversion 7.0 software. It does NOT work in version 7.1

Nope, I can add another master fader, but it won't receive any audio as it has no input. You can't add auxes to a master fader. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. Even though it it was only one...

I've been using SoundSoap One for a year & a half with no problems whatsoever. I'm not fond of having to import & export to Soundforge to apply the treatment, but it works really well for me.
