Interesting ---I have close to same machine except I have the 5700 16 gb graphics card and 128 GB DDR4 memory, However and I can hear the fans occasionally on audio playback and always on video...

Humm well First to clarify many users feel it's a great time to buy an Apple mac

And in point of fact virtually all M1 Macs with 16 GB of memory or more,, are "qualified and compatible" by Avid...

Well the new generation Intel chips get really hot,, I do not know about them in the Mac Pro...

First thought is unless you need two dedicated systems , why not just also run PT Studio on your iMac Pro ?

Then also wondering why are you looking at...
