Re: Icon monitoring

Hey Francois,
Did you ever do this test? I'd be interested to know the results. I'm thinking of getting an Avocet to replace the Xmon if it is better.

Re: frequent popping and clicking in HD 8

I've been having the same problem on 1 particular session on a similar system. I narrowed it down to Akoustik Piano.....never noticed the problem with it before. Strange.

Re: M audio Oxygen 8

I've had one for a couple of years and I've literally used it once! It's a right pain to map all controller knobs to the different synths. You'd be much better off getting one of the new auto...

Re: Playback only from session beginning

Think that should solve ur problem.

Re: Musicians Toolkit??

Thanks for the info Alex. think I'll go ahead and get it. I doubt if I'll ever need the full 48 stereo tracks anyway so should be fine.

Re: Musicians Toolkit??

Anybody know what sort of track count I'd get on a 1st generation Dual 1.8 GHz G5 with 2.5 Gig Ram?

ie. is it worth me getting the toolkit?

ps. I have 2 SATA drives.

Re: CD Mastering-- What do MAC guys use?

Im pretty sure Peak came with my Toast with Jam. Never used it though so cant comment on it.

Re: so has 7.1 fixed any of your 7.0 problems?

You audition sounds before you import them into your session. It was a pain not having the spdif/optical available if, like me, you only use the spdif/optical outs from your 002.

Re: Dynaudio BM5A vs. Tannoy Reveal 5A
