Re: Eleven Lite noise

Hmmm! That is a difference between my old PodPro using S/PDIF and the Inst 1 input into the Focusrite 4i4 into 11Lite. I thought everything was in the green (I am bordering on yellow on the 4i4...

Re: Eleven Lite noise

Focusrite 4i4.
Incandescent bulbs only.

The low-gain guitars sound fine. A STrat going clean with some chorus sounds lovely!

Eleven Lite noise

I am continuing to experiment with PT12 and Eleven, having come from PT5.1.1 and an external PodPro.
The gain patches on the PodPro, into my old digi001 via S/PDIF, were "great without noise." ...

Re: Eleven Lite dry/wet mix

Ah, OK. If it "locked" 100% wet then I will look for some other cause.

Eleven Lite dry/wet mix

Just starting to experiment with Eleven Lite on PTF prior to going full PT. I had tried Amplitube on my old PT5.1.1 (yes) years and years ago and recall I could adjust wet/dry signal in the insert. ...

Re: It finally died

It was such a delicate set of steps to get it stable that I just didn't bother. I recorded some very nice stuff with outboard PodPro and ROland XV-3080 modules, the latter with a VERY nice 3rd party...

It finally died

Hello all you Legacy DUCers!
After just over 18 years of totally unpatched, unupgraded glory, my beloved W98 PentiumIII running PT5.1.1 (yes!) stroked out. Won't even go thru BIOS startup. Only...

Re: Convert PT 5.3.1 to 9

Great! I was optimistic that I would not get a "forget it pal" response.
My sessions do have Mac/PC compatibility checked so I think I have a good pathway forward.

Thanks John and Albee.

Convert PT 5.3.1 to 9

After using my PT 5.3.1 rig on a Windows 98SE machine for 10 years with essentially no hitches, I am getting a Mac and ProTools 9.

Two quick questions:
1. Is there any kind of PT 5.3.1 session...

If it ain't broke...but now I wish to migrate to a brand new Mac

Hi all. I have a perfectly functioning circa 2001 (not a typo) 1G Windows 98SE machine running PT 5.3.1 with a 001. Custom interface cable and everything! 40GB D: drive for music! OK, so it's...

Re: Let's hear your latest stuff....right here

Hi everyone. Boy, I've missed a lot of good music.

I am gearing up to finally shift my DAW from -- brace yourselves -- my 10 year old PT 5.3.1 / 001 setup on a W98SE machine to a new iMac 10.6.6...

Re: Let's hear your latest stuff....right here

Lots of texture in here. At first I thought "OK, more Gym Music" but it's not the same 12 notes over and over again. The three separate vocal themes, each with EQ and FX to keep them distinct,...

Re: Let's hear your latest stuff....right here

Heavy and thick -- but good production. I can hear distinct instruments and accents, and it's tight.

Your Last Prayer is my favorite.

What can you tell us about the setup? For example, do...

Re: MP3 export, key, W98 mp3.dll

Digistore support emailed my auth code this AM.

Redownloaded 5.1.1 MP3 Option for W98. Now it challenges me for an auth code! Typed it in and it all works.

Thanks to all for your help.

Re: MP3 export, key, W98 mp3.dll

Re: MP3 export, key, W98 mp3.dll

Right idea -- but I don't have an account.

I don't mind paying again. I just want to know if the key will work. Clearly the new WXP driver doesn't.

MP3 export, key, W98 mp3.dll

Hello again. In another thread I mentioned I replaced my dead hard drive instead of buying a Mac. New disk and fresh W98 install worked wonders.

However, I now lack my key for the MP3 export. ...

Re: PT5.1.1 / W98 : How good is...FIXED!

Unreal. After 5 years I forgot which of the three unknown audio-like devices was the real target for the the Digi001 PCI card drivers. This evening I came home from work and simply chose the...

Re: PT5.1.1 / W98 : How good is your memory?

Will try that.

I'm a bit leery of the fact that all this WaveRunner stuff -- including the readmes in the install folder -- refers to the AudioMedia III card, not the Digi001 PCI card. Is that...

PT5.1.1 / W98 : How good is your memory?

Hello again. On the advice of some folks on this board, I got a new C: drive for my W98 P3 machine circa 2001 after the drive went bad. I used the W98 Reinstall disk to put the OS back on.

I...

Re: PC explodes: Now I\'m ready for the Mac!

All dual-core proc speeds claim to be supported but there is the ominous "Low Buffer Size / Multi-Processor Issues" link on the systems compatibility page.

I'll get a good quantity of RAM, no...
