Just a follow up...

I went ahead and did a clean install of Lion and have had no issues with the installation or operation of Waves SSL 7.1 running on Pro Tools 9.0.5.

Hmmm. I have an iMac at home and at work. I run an Mbox mini at home and presonus firestudio interfaces at work with PT9 and have no problems with a 64 sample buffer, so as long as the Duet supports...

Well, if he's upgrading anyway couldn't he upgrade to reason & record? Rewire Record into pro tools and stick the audio file on a track in record and all the reason effects should be available.

I'll add another vote for the waves ssl bundle.

Most of these companies will give you 15 day trials. You should just give them a go yourself and find what fits your style and application best.

I'll add another vote for the ML4000. I tried all of the major players before purchasing and the ML4000 was the winner. Why don't you do the same and grab 14 day trial versions of all the plugs?...

You just have to either nudge the track that is causing delay back in time by the delay amount, or move all the other tracks forward by the delay amount either by nudging or using the time adjuster...

Below the channels volume fader where it tells you the vol in dB, hold down command and click "vol" twice, which will change it to output in samples the amount of delay on the track.
