Try running VideoSlave or Premiere with the new drivers. I'm willing to bet that the huge delay will ONLY be when playing from Pro Tools.

It's not a case of Blackmagic drivers being better or worse, it's a case of which work best with the AVE, which is what's actually at fault. Other video playback software works fine with Blackmagic...
