Thanks for your feedback.

Having all tracks start from time zero makes complete sense to me as everything has the exact same reference point.

For recording entire takes this seems logical.

Okay.. I've just found a 2.5" enclosure with FW800 on ebay for around $60.
So it sounds like that could help.

Yes, I'm using Boom on an Instrument track.
I'm no expert on midi as you can see.

Core Audio has been broken forever.. completely fed up!!

For as long as I can remember I have had insurmountable problems with the core audio driver for both 002R and 003R.

It is absolutely PATHETIC that a Pro Audio company can't support their products....
