Re: 001 HELP

The OO1 will run up to v6.4. Also install all the service packs (cs9). He will probably need to buy it for $35-.
The factory stuff will be useless without the iLok key. I'd get with the seller...

Re: What not to buy

My 2C, PTLE won't work with Ali chipsets on the AMD's systems either. Not very clear on the compato pages, but since it is not listed, it is not supported. And, it doesn't work; been there, done...

Re: virtual memory?

Virtual memory doesn't buy you anything in PT except to keep the system from freezing up. Synth is the only real memory pig, so if you can keep that under control, you can get away with 0 virtual...

Why I\'m not buying M-Audio

Although I would like to buy an Ozonic, I just cannot see laying out the extra cash for yet another ProTools S/W package. It just doesn't make sense to me why M-Powered and LE isn't interchangeable....

Re: A little mixing help - please?

Bring the vocals forward.
Try a little EQ carving to put the voice 'up front' (maybe a little to much compression on the lead vocal).
Also give the voice some more umph (brighten it up a bit).

Re: ProTools to Masterlink Connection?

There are two reasons I use the XLR's to my Masterlink:
1. Audio with heavy effects tend to sound cleaner, more analog, when going through the extra D/A~A/D step.
2. When I want to record a...

Re: M-Audio VS. LE

Concensus so far is that M-Audio hardware is not quite up to parr with Digi hardware. The good part of M-Audio is that it is likely more consistent with being a generic sound card and more choices. I...

Which do you trust?

I compared my Bomb Factory Tuner against my Seiko ST757 chromatic tuner (analog in/out).

For the most part, they are within a few cents of each other but some are off by 10 cents.

I am trying...

Re: assign more power to PT with a dual hard drive?

It has nothing to do with power from hard disks.
Plugins are simply very CPU intensive and sometimes we have to cheat a little.

First, if your CPU looks okay most of the time but seems to go into...

Re: Digimax LT and problems connecting. Pops and click

Make sure you have both settings correct to sync the clock. Make the LT the master, and slave the OO2. Both systems must be set to the same clock speed.

Re: BIG PROBLEM! with bounce.

The 16bit dither before the D-Verb in a 24bit session is to keep the CPU from going into runaway mode. It's a long known PTLE bug only with D-Verb.

Also call...
