Recognizes the card here. Just doesn't work very well. Re-install, PT updates, doesn't matter. Pretty much unusable.

Yeah, the last driver update only lists PT10.

Did they give an ETA on PT 11 support?

I know some people have been having issues (including me), and Blackmagic doesn't seem to officially support PT 11 yet, but I'm wondering if I'm missing something.

Video seems very flakey in 11....

Thanks for the tips.

I updated both 10.3.6 to 10.3.7 and 11.0 to 11.0.1 today without any major drama.

In 10, I ran the uninstaller and did a clean uninstall, then ran the 10.3.7 installer....

After a couple reliable years on PT9, I've made the jump to 10 / 11.

In the old days, updates ran their own installers, and the user didn't have to do much. Now for both 10 and 11, Avid...

I'm wiping my Mac clean in order to have a nice clean install of Mountain Lion and ProTools. Does it matter which one I install first? HDX system.

I can't answer your question directly, but I can tell you why I bought a 12 core last fall.

My system is only an HD2, with the third slot containg a video capture card. I didn't get the 12 core...

Major improvement for video conferencing maybe. But ichat is mono, expands/gates, compresses/limits and filters. Other than that it would be the perfect app for this... Unless your client is on a PC.

I too experimented with iChat and found it unsuitable. Not only is it mono, but it heavily processes the audio. It would be awesome to have a variation of iChat that would stream quality stereo.
