Re: Cpu/ram

Thanks for that. Is there a RAM meter anywhere so I can see how much I'm using?
I just updated Kontakt 4 to 4.2.4 and have found that it seems to take more CPU than before. Some sessions that played...

I thought that CPU and RAM...

Re: How are native instruments plugins on PT8.

[QUOTE=Benoni;1651756]Not sure about 7 yet since it hasn't been released :p but I suspect it will be even better.

It should run pretty much the same as Komplete 7 is basically adding new sounds...

Re: How are native instruments plugins on PT8.

I use Komplete 6, generally everything works fine. Battery occasionally crashes Pro Tools when I click on a new cell to edit, but usually doesn't. Not really a problem as long as you save regularly.

Re: Input level out of control!!

I get this reasonably often, restarting the computer has always solved the the problem. I believe I was told it's something to do with static build-up in the MBox.

Waveform display looks much louder than it should

Recently any new sessions that I have created haven't displayed waveforms correctly. Whenever an instrument is playing, I get a solid block of colour as though it's constantly peaking and when it's...

Tempo change causing midi volume to change plugin output

I'm writing a track using Battery 3 plug-in. It was generally working fine and I could set the output level with the master knob in Battery, but then I decided to change the tempo of the track and...

Thanks for that, there's some great sounds in there.
What do I need to do to load them into BFD or Structure etc to make patterns with them?

Audio Loops and Sounds DVD

Pro Tools 8 comes with an extra disc labelled Audio Loops and Sounds. When I load the disc, my computer just calls it Audio Loops. So far as I can tell, everything on it seems to be loops rather than...

Re: Problem detected with audio clock - harddisk rpm?

Thanks for eveyone's advice. I think I'm going to try to get a new computer. I'm slightly worried because I registered Pro Tools on this one - can I move the registration to a new machine easily?

Re: Problem detected with audio clock - harddisk rpm?

How much do you think that would cost compared to the price of buying a computer already set up to work? I'm no good inside computers so I'd have to pay someone to take my laptop apart and put it...

Re: Problem detected with audio clock - harddisk rpm?

Forgive my ignorance, how do I find out if I have a cardbus slot or e-sata? I've not come accross them before.
Thanks,
Tom
I've got a slot marked SD.MS/Pro.MMC.XD
Is that any use?
