Re: Antelope Devices Thunderbolt Interface

Hi Steve, I gave up on the Avid/Lynx problem. I doubt it will ever be addressed unless it gets fixed as a byproduct of Avid finally getting their ASIO interface issues and CPU spike issues...

Re: 12.5 is not compatible with the Lynx AES16e

I don't know about the others having this problem but I am not using DigiLink. I am using the Thunderbolt ASIO driver. Also tried the AES16e board which failed the same way. This worked great for...

There are others having the same problems with anything newer than 12.4.

Re: Extremely High CPU Usage with Lynx LS-TB and PT 12.5

Amarqu1, My situation is virtually identical. The only difference is that my subscription runs out in November. 80-90% cpu utilization even before loading a project. I am stuck on PT12.4. Tried...

Re: Extremely High CPU Usage with Lynx Aurora and PT 12.5

We heard from David Hoatson, Chief Software Engineer at Lynx, that he is reaching out to his contact at Avid who did the ASIO implementation for Windows to see if they can get to the bottom of this. ...

Re: Extremely High CPU Usage with Lynx LS-TB and PT 12.5

Apparently the EPROM on the LT-TB card had become corrupted. Was able to fix it by switching to EPROM 1 and reloading EPROM 2 with the 5.5 firmware.

I tried using Driver Ver 22 with PT 12.5 and...

Re: Extremely High CPU Usage with Lynx Aurora and PT 12.5

Andre,

I went back to PT 12.4 and everything is behaving as expected. So for now I guess we are both stuck at PT 12.4.

David A. Hoatson, Chief Software Engineer for Lynx, did respond in the...

Re: Extremely High CPU Usage with Lynx LS-TB and PT 12.5

Hi Andre,

Thanks for posting. You saved me a bunch of work. I have an AES card and was considering putting it in the computer. I won't bother. It looks like this is a PT 12.5 problem with...

Re: Extremely High CPU Usage with Lynx LS-TB and PT 12.5

Thanks for trying to help. This definitely not a buffer size issue.

The cpu goes to 100% in Pro Tools 12.5 WITHOUT EVEN LOADING A SESSION. NO AUDIO DATA. NO PLUGINS. NO VIRTUAL INSTRUMENTS. ...

Re: Extremely High CPU Usage with Lynx LS-TB and PT 12.5

l checked the settings you suggested (Dynamic Plugin Processing setting...) and it made no difference. One thing that is especially bizarre is that the cpu utilization goes to 100% without even...

Re: Extremely High CPU Usage with Lynx LS-TB and PT 12.5

Thanks for the response.

I should have mentioned that I have tried various buffer sizes including 2048 and it didn't help. Even if it did it kind of defeats the purpose of moving to Thunderbolt. ...

Re: changing plugin parameters on track/bus affects unrelated tracks

Have you tried printing a track before and after you make the "unrelated" plugin changes to see if the change you are hearing is restricted to real time playback only?

Re: changing plugin parameters on track/bus affects unrelated tracks

This may sound silly but if it were me I think at this point I would go back to your previous version of Pro Tools and give it a try - just as kind of a sanity check that (1) it's not something...
