- ASUS Gtx-560 Ti DCII
- Mugen 2 rev b
- Antec Three hundred 2
- G. Skill or Corsair quad channel...

Thanks. My main focus is ProTools in this budget.
Media Composer would be a big plus, but a gamble as well. Certainly without a Quadro GPU.
Otherwise I'd have to move to Premiere.

I guess I'm moving towards the 2011 socket then...

But, I don't think it's fair.
I have to spend 50% more (compared with Ivy bridge) and get a 10% performance gain.
But Protools and Avid Media...

Thanks for this Tom, I have a M-Audio Audiophile (PCI) I would like to reuse. It seems that Gigabyte is the only board with an old PCI, right?

The Mbox2 mini I use is compatible right?

I know the new ones are better, but I can't really find the money for the upgrade yet.

The Gigabyte boards (UD3) are a lot cheaper and bring everything I need.
I would love some more USB 3 connectors, but I dont want to spend 40 $ on them.

I would like to edit 1080p video as well, the software I'm using is Protools 8 and...
