Thanks.
BTW - i replaced the card and got the same error.
So i reopened the 192 io case and checked
everything again( slot1 to ad card in bay 1, slot 2 to bay 2 eetc.). All was well.
Fired up...

Yeah. I thank all for your help. Just to keep things real(clear) for future reference: The short answer seems to be that the slot numbers simply map to the bay numbers and vice versa.

I remember the pcb board silk screening does label each slot as Slot1, Slot2, Slot3, and Slot4. I don't recall it saying anything else but I don't have the board in front of me at the moment but IIRC...

Well, maybe I'm blind but none of the pdf files i've found so far include that information. Also, google search for 192 IO Reference Guide returns nothing.
