Make sure that your frame rates match. If your tape is df and your session is non drop, or vise versa, pro tools will display this behavior.

Yes unfortunatly I have tried all of those things and I am still hosed. There is a utility that will fix the header on the audio files and then I can import them...

I am still on Mix3. I might consider upgrading to HD to take advantage of the MOJO or the V10. Otherwise Mix is working fine for all my post needs.

See if you can get the audio that from the video that was used to encode the MPEG2, import it into your session then...

If only that were true. There are many cases of stretching or pulling down 4%. In fact I am doing that to a certain TV episode as we speak. French language dub to an NTSC Master.
