The issue is file size. Some of my samples are fairly lenghthy so without a stop option I will need to sort out a workaround. That's fine.

With the PT AMBus card and the 8D/A card you can have a direct connection to PT plus 8 analogue outs. The Trak 2 comes with a headphone out and maybe you could get the 2D/A card if all you need are...

Dave Do you know that Alkali by Audio Genetics uses rex files via Direct Connect? I know rex files are just one part of the equation you're missing, but thought i'd mention it.
