The HD Driver is a separate installer located in the package. You have to run it separately. No auto installation.
Recent downloads of the 2023.6 Pro Tools installer ONLY come with the 2023.3 HD...

So it'd help to know from all the others who have faced this issue if they are using more than one HDX card and which macOS system.

Single card system? Trying to narrow the circumstances for the issue.

I had problems: multicard, Sonnet 3 card chassis, Ventura 13.4

I had zero issues up until this 2023.6 driver. Then all h- broke loose. Crash after crash after crash. Eventually wiped all Avid stuff, waited 2 days (to make sure things were stable), installed...

That issue only affected HD Native cards.

This new issue is affecting HDX cards in chassis too. Major screw up by Avid. I've had to roll back to 2023.3 drivers too to get any kind of stability....
