The nice thing about Venue is that you can actually delay in feet vs. milliseconds. I just take a measurement and do it that way.

I experimented this morning to see if that would happen to me...it didn't.

Also, I should mention...we just came off a Midas XL4 and was also considering the XL8 until the price was announced. We basically got FOH, Monitors and our PT rig for less than the Midas.

If you are open to buying a suite of plugs...consider the Waves Live Bundle. It is pricey, but the C4 is a great multi band and you get lots of other good plugins, plus a Platinum bundle license is...

Nope. You don't remote in through the stand alone software. You need the VNC client...very much the same way "Go To My PC" works.

That should work. I have 96 pres and the HDx2...so unless there is some extra sync issue (which there shouldn't be since you will get sync from the Venue) it should work.

There are a lot of plugins that give you a demo period. What configuration did you get with your Venue? The system comes with a good assortment, but if you add a mix engine card...I think...

Max out to 5 mix engine cards and get a 2nd venue system with 96 pres like we did.

Just treat "0" on the VU as -15 in the digital realm.

As far as plugins on a direct out...
How many channels are you using? You can configure the console to do "64" channels if you have 48...

I use Event ASP6's.

Typically, I just use them for rehearsal but turn them off during service for the "oops, I solo'ed something and the people behind me heard it" factor.
