exactly! I'd love to stick with PT, if for no other reason the time invested in learning it (which is still on going). I'm not even that well versed with the DigiTranslator and ASIO drivers and all...

i like to take hi-res audio out of the 002 (88.2-96K, for instance) into my analog mixer, and mix that through a finalizer into the masterlink, lets say. Ive done this in the past for outstanding...

i want more I/O. I'd like to get a nice analog console to go into the 002, then back out to the console so I can mix down to a masterlink or something. 16 in's (8 being digital) wont really cut it...

I use a TC Electronic Gold Channel as a converter when I am recording up to 48 K, and for the life of me I can NEVER get the signal from it to the 002 via SPDIF. DONT KNOW WHY!! Optical cable works...

hi there,

im selling my Mackie HUI, which can do all that. its the best control surface ever in my opinion (not including the higher end console sized PT controllers)

I would be weary of using MTC to sync 2 002's together. I could just see myself doing a lot of lining-up=of-wav's which I would hardly be interested in doing on such a scale. MTC is not an exact...

so essentially, you would need 2 computers then? I doubt 2 instances of PT LE can be running at once on the same machine, correct?

Master Fader weirdness...

Any one have problems routing the master fader audio to any other route other than the default Analog 1/2? Im using an 002R.
Id love to route it SPDIF, or anything else for that matter, to do some...

I cant tell you how many times Ive considered buying an MBox to do editing on the fly, since my main comp is a powerbook as well. its hard to buy a $350 dongle though...

PB 1ghz vs. Dual 800mhz?

the PB has 768 mb ram, the dual has over a GB. Now im sure the dual is going to be faster (right), but how much faster? Will it smoke it do ya think...or just be mildly speedier?
