I don't know what I could do differently - but if I create 100 tracks and do the same thing, PT still processes one track at a time, and very inefficiently.

100 tracks takes over 14 minutes...

This takes 8.5 to 8.9 seconds. (I did it a few times).
The CPU doesn't budge, either on iStat Menus or on the PT CPU usage meter.

Happy to do a bigger test, just let me know.

I have a new Mac Pro (16 core) but didn't ever have a trashcan.

I can run some tests for you, assuming I have the right plugs - I just own PT standard, using 2021.3 at the moment but can go back...
