One of our S6 desks has a non-functioning numeric keypad. This may have happened after a recent upgrade, other studio has similar setup but working fine.

All other desk functions appear to be...

Re: Speaker mapping wrong or Gremlin attack?

Cracked it!

On the S6, on the monitoring page, 'folddown' was set to mono. How it affects the audio in the room is baffling to me.

Selecting 7.1 (even though this is a 5.1 room) returned the...

I have now, an embarrassing amount of times done this:

1.Hurried bounce to disk, wetransfer, go to work

2.Composer friend emails me that the click track is all over my recording.

I KNOW i'll...

Re: Have I lost my place?

Original time stamp in spot mode!

Thanks. Got it.

It turns out I hadn't jogged it by mistake this time. The kids were quite young and out of time. Not loving this edit!

Have I lost my place?

Another relatively beginner question.

Is there a quick way to see if i've accidentally moved audio away from the original position it was in? as in, in slip mode, accidentally moved a file rather...

Re: Gain Structure/Stock compression question

OK I figured it out.

When I played back the backing track for the kids to sing along to, it was at full level.

Although the mic channel's weren't clipping during recording, the overall mixer in...

I'd been doing all that. Is it possible that there is some kind of barely audible distortion from the recording that the compressor is making more audible?

I was hoping that someone would post...

Thanks loads for the info. I'll have a look later.
