PT Free only works with 2 channel cards,any attempt at using a multichannel card will result in crashes,at least that's my experience.

I can't confirm anything concerning the 1010 specifically,but it's the same driver for all Delta PCI products so I don't see why the 1010 would be limited in bit rate and not other Delta products...

What version? The reason I ask is because the VST version of SampleTank 2 most certainly does have multiple outs/channels,but I haven't checked out the RTAS version of ST-2.

If it's a 400FSB Barton and you have PC 3200 DDR you should be running it at 200/200,but if it's a 333FSB chip and your running PC 2700 then it's 166/166.

Kontakt is a virtual sampler,not a loop generating program.I'm not sure what the salesman told you,but you'll have to create your drum parts with midi in PT which will trigger the DFH kit in kontakt.
