M-Audio does Not indicate Crap hardware, but Superior, over LE for the small Mix abilities. M-Audio allows 96k with most hardware, including the Transit that fits in your shirt pocket, and M-Box LE...

If digi says to clean this often, then this MUST be a conductivity issue, and soldering would eliminate...
