Resolved: had to move my waveshells and izotope plug-Ins to unused-plug-in folder then once pro tools opened I moved them back to used-plug-ins folder closed pro tools and relaunched and they were...

Pro Tools 2020.11 keep crashing once it reach scanning plug-Ins for waveshell v12. Anyone else experiencing this?

Today I received a call from Avid support (Jimi) and he removed the track preset folder from documents > pro tools folder and the error stopped. So now I’m able to create tracks and add plugins....

Yeah, and if you try to go to that path it say database is being created and the error will go away once it completes. Very strange! Maybe it will get fixed in the next update.

Thanks Darryl and everyone for your help, but nothing seems to be working as I’m still getting the error. This makes 2019.5 useless for me if I can’t add tracks and plugins.

I have searched and can’t seem to find anyone reporting this same error. As I’ve said before that I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, removed unsupported plugins, deleted prefs, toggled outputs, inputs...

After uninstalling and reinstalling deleting preferences now I keep getting a crash on startup after waves 9.7. Strange because in my waves folder all I see is waves 10.

Protools 12 came out on 3/23/1015. So it's only been about 51 days (not even two months). Give them some time. Avid is still struggling to get this botched roll out straightened out.
