AVID definitely have a problem here. They should indicate that their h/w is unsuitable for LAPTOPS and should never be unplugged etc.

thanks for the reply...just learnt that the SSD takes up an internal bay in laptop so no room for another internal drive.

I guess the answer is to go 2 external drives.... not sure if/when I will...

as a complete newb 3 weeks ago I purchased MBOX3 and LE8.04 bundle. I was immediately bewildered...was able to quickly record a demo track or 2..thats not hard...but all the editing and send options...

As per above..ditched the PC there and went with the following. (but no one commented anyway so just clearing up for future reference)..cant wait to get my hands on it. I know its not the fastest PC...

There must be more bugs than you can throw a stick at in this product. I love the funtionality and features.

Is it cos the "count on" feature is a "midi" only feature? (and cos I dont have any midi connected devices (yet) it wont allow it...

Hi all.
Am a newbie to this and have read/searched the FAQ's etc.

I have just setup pro tools 8 le with my mbox3 and working thru the instructional video..want to do it all similar to the video...
