i think there is an option in soundreplacer called "dynamics"... i think it adapts the level of the replacing sound to the existing track's dynamic.

i know the tech spec say 24 bits (that's why i bought it), but it's not the fist time i've heard about some 888/24 that could have only 20 bits converters...
but i can be wrong , and i hope so...
