im trying to find the setting in the pro tools 12 preferences where you can change the grid darkness from faint (barely visible) to darker (actually visible) :D ahah

one solution is to make the app run in low resolution mode

right click on the app "Pro Tools" and select "Get Info" and then tick "Open in Low Resolution"

it will look like ass, but it will be...

my brand new 5k retina imac with Radeon Pro 580 (8GB of VRAM) does this too :(

it feels awful -- seriously messing up my editing speed. feels like im editing on a 2005 machine with a spinning...

upon further basic testing ableton live is still able to work using coreaudio without the "Digidesign CoreAudio.plugin" file having been loaded

will let you know if i run into trouble

traced it down to a problem with

/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/Digidesign CoreAudio.plugin

if i remove Digidesign CoreAudio.plugin from /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/ then launchddaemon doesnt crash

fresh install of mavericks 10.9.5
fresh install of avid mbox pro 3 drivers v1.3.2

when i look at the launchddaemon processes "Open Files and Ports" i see this:

i have also noticed that the last 2% of the knob makes the volume jump a huge amount.

maybe i should make a video showing the problem on youtube so you guys can see what i mean.

so no-one had ever got pt to change tempo live by tapping t. everyone had to turn off the click, tap and hope for the best, then turn it back on?
