I read a thread, and changed Display colors from millions to thousands - I also made sure processor was a highest - seems to be much more stable. Have been recording much smoother - yey!!

Yes -
I installed it and it totally messed up my Pro tools set up
Had to archive install, update, etc., etc. -
went back to old version of quicktime

I've been having a tough time on this issue myself, I have a powerbook Aluminum 15" 1ghz- 768- Panther 10.3.4 and an MBox, I just upgraded from 512 to 768 and from OS 10.2.8 to the latest...

Check Playback engine and hardware buffer - if your at 1024 try 512 and so on...also
use the mix knob on the Mbox if recording into analog inputs.
