Just purchased the MBP mentioned, and was able to swap mem for 16gig (from 8) :-)

It's used $1400, still user warranty until Mai 2014.

When I run an instance of Addictive Drums and Xpand2, are we still talking abut CPU hit or Memory Hit?

Then if PT9 and 10 only can take advantage of 4gigs, why do I get CPU errors when I use low buffer settings?

I'm running Mountain Lion with PT 9. Should I go for a memory upgrade or to PT10?

My budget doesn't allow for both at this time.

I presently have 6gigs of RAM

Yes, I did update the the Ilok Pace drivers, and it's plugged in.

I do think I have the old version of the Plug-in

When Protools loads, it doesn't load Smack

The license IS on my Ilok

PT8 Download file problem

I've just downloaded the PT8 installer file for window

When I try to uncompress it, I get and error:

The compressed file is invalide or curruped????

What can I do without downloading...
