What happens when you try to preview sound files by highlighting said file then using command-space bar? Does that command make your cursor move to the bottom of the page unexpectedly?

Try trashing your Digisetup file and prefs, restart and launch Netscape from the application, not a stationary pad or session. Also in Control Panels>Date and Time>Use Network Time Server>Set Time...

Chuck- I use 10 tracks (6 mono, 2 stereo) cause they fit nicely on the screen. It's all I use for radio spots.(I've become quite the minimalist since mBox came out). images/icons/cool.gif

Hey chucknkd - The setup you've described will rock. Good choice on the large ram. I use Club Mac's External FireWire HD's and CD-R's for data storage and PT recording with absolutely no probs....

Well lets see...If you are upgrading from 4.X, you'll like the additional track count and track options, RTAS and the smart tool. You might dislike the clunky import audio window, no fast bounce...

John- Depending on how regions are named in a session, "export selected as files" will either create 1 file of each track or an interleaved file. The shortcut to export as 1 interleaved stereo file...

Thermo- The problem with 5X bounce is that it is only done in realtime and does not utilize the full power of processing with a fast bounce option. "Export as files" is NOT the answer.

I tried 4.1.1 with mBox control panel...didn't work on my system (iBook) "mBox will not work on this Mac" was what the dialog box said.

Realtime bounce is OK, but NO OPTION FOR FAST BOUNCE SUCKS!...

In case anyone is interested about this config without being a Digi Guinea Tester.

It's very stable. I don't even have to disconnect and reconnect mBox to recognize USB like on some iBook systems...

Another option for 2 versions of PT on same computer would be to have 2 start-up disks on same computer.

Thanks for the helpful info Nocturnal. Yes, Digi took away ALOT of good things...I'm having trouble coming to grips with some of the bigger changes.

Is it just my system or did Digi take away the space bar play feature in the import audio window? If they did take it away...WHY??
