Finally! all it needed was XP pro.
The guy at the store said even win XP pro need a program to recognize 2 prossesors. Is this true?
I go to System info and it says it looks like it sees 4...

I used a brand new XP cd. It says in the box "now includes sp2" I dont know if that means it installs it automatically when I installed windows or there is a folder in the cd with sp2. Either way. I...

thanks for the reply
SO ended up using a ide ata drive, and it installed fine.
But now... everytime I installed SP2 windows wont start properly!!! only in safe mode! it happened with an old xp CD...

Ok I just figured out the manual was backwards!! its fine now.
Now, Ive never used sata drives, and the winddows installation disk doesnt recognise the sata drive. I ordered my drive from newegg.com...
