I run the 002R successfully with my mac pro, which is getting sold on monday. so the 002R is fine. the cable is O.K. I also tried to connect a Lacie FW Drive via FW800 cable to my MBP and Daisychain...

O.K., is there no Protools Version i can run under Lion? I can upgrade to 10, am expecting to do so. The Duende Problem is not that important as i can go native with the SSL Plugins.

yes i use it until leopard works. leopard in deed is working right now, but only on 1 processor and with much better latency.

i use the internal drive in windows. i made it 350GB Mac and 150GB...

No, I didnt. But i use macpro - boot camp - XP - protools LE. latency is a little problem - cant get it under 256 samples while recording, but everything else is stable. try that, if you can get XP!...

Bootcamp does it! Parrallels or VMware or whatever doesnt work. cause these programms run on mac osx. bootcamp doesnt. i do it on a mac pro. you need pt 7.1.1. or higher, that should work for you!
