Bought a few days ago a MBox Micro (have also 2 HDs....).

registered my new product
was able to download LE 7.42pr4 (for 10.5.3 on my MacBookPro)
installed everything
started PT - everything...

My experience and all i heard is also quite opposite. The people i know on the PCs do have lots of problems - and on my 3 mac systems (and the ones i know from other users) i do not even remember how...

Sorry to hear that - cannot help really - i also have a DM2000 and no problems whatsoever. But i connectet mine with PT via AES/EBU. I also have 3 DA-88 via TDIF - also no problem - and 16 ins outs...

In my opinion you should prefere a dual processor machine - as long as you use OSX!!!
A dual 1 GHz machine summs up to a processingpower of about a single processor with 1,8 GHz. So - i think its...

If its not too much money - get a Yamaha DM-2000 or a O2R96. Both are not just good mixers but also PT-controllers. In post you also need a quite good automation - i am very happy with my DM-2000......

Yes! Thats why i did not buy the DV-Tool-Kit. I have 2 HD systems and an MBox - i would only buy that (in my opinion quite expensive) add on if i get the missing features compared to the HD systems...

Prefs cannot be set like they were in 9.22 with 5.x
Listening to a sound in the region bin jumps the session to the start - the only way to let this not happen is to uncheck insertion follows...

Thanks for looking this one up! So there is a change in the prefs behaviour...
Hopefully this will be fixed in the next release.
Could DIGI say something about that? Is this recognized as a bug?...

Thats true (of course i did that) - but i also need to have "timeline inserion follows playback" - otherwise everytime i hit start, PT will always play from the last start-point and not the current...

I would not buy two drives in one case - just for savety and for probable future changes - you just dont know right now how they do it - (will it be two drives under OSX - if not - they do a trick...

Also my point - my 250 GB drives (several) work just fine with PT and also with Logic (EXS-samples). I also would not use these 500 GB or 1 TB drives - they are not one drive - but two - and you do...
