Can I ask what Mac OS version you were upgrading from? I thought I read that if you upgraded and previously installed High Sierra 10.13.6 (which I am on) you already had the firmware update ? ...

Not sure about what Avid has "qualified"

But Apple has made this statement of Mojave capable GUP's (for Mid 2010 and 2012 I am guessing an upgraded 4.1 will work
