Have a good backup. Most of us use a clone SSD. That way, if things don't work out, simply swap to the working clone...all done. If you are on a Mac, you can simply rename your current version...

I think he meant:
"Few" = three days
"Couple" = two days

I had to read it "several" times to figure it out. "Several" = more than three. Lol

Does anyone know of another program that needs to have preferences trashed? I don't claim to know every program, but none of the programs I use, other than Protools, requires this procedure. SMH

I don't claim to know what has been going on inside Avid development. I suspect even the developers from Protools 11 have been changed. Perhaps they outsource their development and code maintenance...

I hear ya. It is frustrating for all of us. Unfortunately, Apple keeps changing the playing field (and breaks compatibility) with regular new OS updates, therefore 3rd party vendors like Avid must...
