Says right in the release notes, "The Parallel Task Optimizations is now available in Pro Tools Software." I went looking for this and could not find it either.

FYI I'm running Catalina on a 4,1 Mac Pro, firmware updated to 5,1, upgraded to 2x12 core X5690 processors and Radeon RX580 video card, and it is solid as a rock. I expect to get several more years...

I installed Mojave on this machine (2009 Mac Pro, updated to 5.1, Radeon RX560) and did not have good luck with it. 10.13.6 has been stable and problem free.

Curious though if Catalina/PT would...

You can get rid of this error by opening QuickTime Player 7, and disabling "Show Content Guide Automatically" in its preferences. Though I don't think it has anything to do with Pro Tools'...

None of the above workarounds worked for me, but the following does:

Make sure there is an automation breakpoint set to -infinity at the beginning...

I haven't used Reaper or Sonar (came from Logic), but yes that has been my experience with it. The only true limitation at this point seems to be that it only works on outputs 1-2.

This is not correct. You need to engage "Auto Input Monitoring" in the Track menu. (actually, you need to toggle it from "Input Only Monitoring" to "Auto Input Monitoring") Pro Tools will then...
