yes, that happens sometimes. it is a bit of latency, all you have to do is move the sound over to where it should be. its pretty easy.

thanks gary,

i got the xp toolbox version along with the card, so i have the ptle version, and so far it has been flawless with me. i got it all for under 200 bucks and it works great.

nope. the download is standalone(i think thats what its called..?)which means that you pay the 50 bucks and its like a whole new software thing. PT 5.3.1 is really good. and xp has gotta be by far...

im betting its a bad connection somewhere in your setup. check for loose wires or bad mics. if that doesnt do anything, i would try running the dc offset removal plugin on the tracks. this may help...
