Re: What do people think of the AKG C3000?

no experience with the 3000, but my 1000 is a fairly decent mic. good overall articulation, but the high end is harsh for vocal sibilance or cymbals. i recorded large portions of a demo EP with one...

Re: 002 R Xeon Dual Processing Compatibility

my understanding is that Pro Tools will only run on one of the processors. Same goes for P4 HT systems. It will only run on half of the chip, making it signigantly slower than non-HT enabled P4's.

Music Production Enhancement Suite

I was browsing through the Digidesign website and I came across the list of supposedly bundled plug-ins for the 002. I was really surprised to see that there is something called the Music Production...

Re: Most Depressing Song Ever?

this should have been the end of the thread, because nothing can top it. plus, after he plays it, he shows us the Marshall that goes to 11. and you can't say that about A-Ha.

Re: using Pro Tools LE with Mac vs. PC

my personal opinion: that mac doesn't have enough power to run LE effectively. say what you will about interface, price, blah, blah. really what it comes down to is: when you've got LE open, how fast...

Re: DaveC redux--adaptec is my friend

it was probably mostly the firewire thing. pro tools doesn't need more than 512 MB of RAM (although it would be faster if they'd make it take better advantage of more RAM).

Re: what\'s better: 002 24/96 or outboard 24/48?

i'm not too concerned about the track counts, as i was able to record and mix two 24/96 32-track (plus 2-4 stereo aux's) projects a few weeks ago for some demos. my laptop kept up nicely, although i...

what\'s better: 002 24/96 or outboard 24/48?

What would sound better: The 002's internal A/D convertors at 24/96, or an outboard unit like the Focusrite, at 24/48? Also, are there are any great-sounding stereo 24/96 convertors out there that...

I'm sure this has been asked before, so I apologize in advance.

Re: PTLE 6.1 on Windows 2003 anyone!!!

Re: HELP INTEL SEEMS SLOWER THAN AMD
