Steven Massey's plug-ins are the real thing. True the free versions work indefinitely, and after you've used them for a while, you'll probably spend the modest amount to upgrade to a the paid...

Thanks, actually the yellow was fixed as soon as I updated Hybrid to 1.5.3 (the update required for Snow Leopard). I was already running PT 8.0.5 when the yellow showed up... I think it is a Snow...

I second this... if you want a simple plug that will allow you to drop in your samples and sequence patterns, iDrum is good for $50. It doesn't have its own editing, or the features of Battery......

RIGHT!... thanks. I'd done two "test sessions" both based on the templates. Totally forgot that of course the I/O setup was saved with them. I feel like such a newbie ;-)
