Your MacBook Pro has a 3.5mm headphone port, that's likely to work better than the port in some cheap hub. If you want a higher end DAC, there are lots of other choices (and might be best to get one...

You can just use the Apple USB-C to USB Adapter if that will work for you. In which case it acts as a handy dongle buddy/protector as well.

But if you want a docking station there are much better...
